These funds welcome all donations.

Smart & Caring Community Fund
Through the Smart & Caring Community Fund, CFNL provides strategic grants to grassroots community projects across the province through an annual application process. This is CFNL's largest fund, and it supports community enrichment programs in the areas of: health and wellness, arts and culture, education, environment, and community capacity. Grants from this fund are unrestricted and are awarded to different organizations annually based on need and community impact.

Operating Fund
This fund sustains CFNL so that we can carry on our mission of enhancing the well-being of communities across our province. If you are donating to one of our other funds, please consider also making a small donation to our Operating Fund to assist us in our work.

Vital Signs Fund
This fund supports the publication of CFNL and the Harris Centre’s annual Vital Signs report, a check-up on quality of life in Newfoundland and Labrador that is published each October in 13 local newspapers across the province. Boyce Taylor Memorial Fund
Supports the Boyce Taylor Memorial Award for Compassionate Action, which is given to a graduating student of Holy Heart of Mary High School in St. John’s who: displays compassion, kindness, and respect towards others; is concerned with fostering cooperation; promotes diversity and an open-minded approach; and is courageous in working towards the elimination of conditions that cause pain to others.

Cy Mills Scholarship Fund
Provides annual scholarships for one girl and one boy at the St. John's Boys and Girls Club.

David Stone Memorial Fund
Established in memory of David Glen Philip Stone, this fund commemorates David’s life and kind spirit by supporting the David Stone Memorial Award, given annually to a student of St. James Regional High School in Channel-Port aux Basques who displays compassion towards others.

Don Jamieson Memorial Scholarship Fund 
Provides a scholarship for a student entering a postsecondary program in political science, journalism, or communications.

Dr. Anna Templeton Award Fund
Founded with a gift from Dr. Anna Templeton, this fund provides an annual scholarship for a Newfoundlander or Labradorian to pursue continuing education in craft.

Dr. Harry Roberts Fund
Supports fitness and wellness projects generated by K-12 students. This fund was established by Edward, Douglas, and Peter Roberts to commemorate their father, Dr. Harry Roberts, a well-known physician in Newfoundland and Labrador who died in 2004.

Dr. Peter Roberts Memorial Fund
Established in memory of Dr. Peter Roberts, CFNL’s founder and a community leader.

Duke of Edinburgh's International Award - Newfoundland and Labrador, The Prince Edward, 50th Anniversary, Fund

FIG Fund
This fund provides a leg-up to help women who have had to overcome significant obstacles to achieve their educational, career, or life goals.

Furlong Family Scholarship Fund
Provides a scholarship for a level III student from Corner Brook and surrounding areas.

Gerry Porter Award Fund
Supports a biannual award in Creative Improvised Music.

Joseph & Emma Taylor Memorial Scholarship Fund
Provides a scholarship for a graduating student of Bonne Bay Academy on the Northern Peninsula.

Maple Leaf Fund
Established with the proceeds of the Newfoundland and Labrador 2013 Atlantic Maple Leaf Tribute Dinner, this fund gives annual grants to charities that provide support services to military members, veterans, and their families across the province.

Michelle Jackson Emerging Filmmaker Fund
Founded in honour of Michelle Jackson, a St. John’s filmmaker and student mentor who passed away suddenly in 2008, this fund supports the St. John’s International Women’s Film Festival’s annual award for emerging filmmakers.Bottom of Form

St. John's Farmers' Market Fund
To support the City of St. John's renovation of the former Metrobus Transit depot on Freshwater Road into a permanent farmers' market and community space.

Terra Nova Arts Fund
Supports the work of the Terra Nova Arts Foundation.

Women’s Film Festival Silver Fund
Established to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the St. John's International Women's Film Festival, the fund supports the festival's activities, including screenings of award-winning films throughout the year, cutting-edge development opportunities for local filmmakers, mentorship for emerging women directors, and hands-on training in filmmaking for Newfoundland and Labrador youth.
