Laura Ivany has focused her career in development and communications on the community sector and the arts. She is currently the Marketing Manager at Stella’s Circle and volunteer cellist with Newfoundland Symphony Orchestra.

In 2021, Laura received a national Champion for Change award for her work as a women’s mental health advocate. A member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals Newfoundland and Labrador, she was the recipient of the 2019 AFP Rising Star in Philanthropy award. Laura is a founding member of the Justice, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion committee at Stella's Circle, and was formerly director and chair of Calos (Newfoundland Symphony Youth Orchestra), director of the Newfoundland Symphony Orchestra, and committee member of the Rotary Music Festival.
