Monika (Dee-Jay) Rumbolt is an Inuk visual artist from the south coast of Labrador. Growing up, she had the privilege of being taught many traditional practices from her people, and incorporates land-based knowledge and practices into both her work and art.
She is currently working as the Youth Coordinating officer for Labrador with Ulnooweg Indigenous Communities Foundation.
She now spends her days in western Labrador with her spouse and little girl, Abigail. She also has a business, Putlavimiut Studio, that provides land-based experiences and teachings from the region to those who wish to learn more about the Indigenous peoples of Labrador.
