North Shore Fires Recovery Fund (Formerly Adam’s Cove Fire Recovery Fund)

On May 7, 2025, the Town of Small Point-Broad Cove-Blackhead-Adam’s Cove experienced what was then the worst fire in its history. At least 11 houses were destroyed, and multiple communities had to be evacuated. 

Over the last number of months, this area has continued to deal with multiple forest fires, including the Kingston Fire that, as of August 12, is out of control and has expanded to over 6,000 hectares, causing evacuations for multiple communities that are still ongoing. It’s been confirmed that multiple structures have been destroyed in this fire.
