North Shore Fires Recovery Fund

Thank you to everyone who donated to the North Shore and Adam’s Cove Fires Recovery Funds. The $68,194 you gave will support firefighting capacity and equipment on the North Shore of Conception Bay.
We are shifting our attention to those individuals looking to rebuild their lives in the areas impacted by the fires. The North Shore has been devastated with so many homes lost.
This fund will support individuals and families as they rebuild their primary residences on the North Shore – from Kingston to Northern Bay. One of our goals is for the fund to be flexible and fill gaps in financial relief received from other sources.
The disbursement of the fund will be guided by local decision-making and oversight. This ensures that monies are distributed with integrity and with a view toward maximizing community benefit. Management of the fund will be done as a partnership between CFNL, the Town of Small Point-Broad Cove-Blackhead-Adam’s Cove and leaders from other communities in the area.
Thank you to the hundreds of individuals, businesses and groups who have made donations to this fund. It is your many gifts coming together that provide caring support to help fuel recovery. We would like to extend a special thank you to:
- Signal Hill Foundation for their signifigant grant of $50,000.
- Newfoundland and Labrador Association of Public and Private Employees for their very generous donation of $50,000.
- Jungle Jim’s franchises across the province for donating $10,000 from this fall’s Burger Battle.
Your generosity gives hope and support.
