2025 NL Forest Fires Recovery Fund

Communities across Newfoundland and Labrador have been dealing with the devastation and tragedy of forest fires throughout this spring and summer. The 2025 NL Forest Fires Recovery Fund was launched to support communities as they recover.

This funding addresses recovery efforts. Donate to one of the below to support immediate relief or a specific community. Feel free to reach out to add other community organization fundraising efforts to this list.

Facilitated by the Community Foundation of Newfoundland and Labrador, Community Sector Council of Newfoundland and Labrador, Municipalities Newfoundland and Labrador and United Way of Newfoundland and Labrador, the 2025 NL Forest Fires Recovery Fund is intended for long-term recovery efforts as identified by local communities when they are ready for rebuilding after emergency response. This provides funders and donors with the knowledge and comfort that their contributions will support projects that are prioritized by local communities with transparent and accountable local oversight.

All donations received through the Fund will support communities with their recovery, rebuilding and resilience efforts, which may include supporting:

  • Community infrastructure that has been destroyed or damaged
  • Community groups, organizations and municipalities serving affected areas
  • Volunteer firefighting capacity and equipment
