Guy Perry Memorial Scholarship

The Guy Perry Memorial Scholarship Fund was established by Family and Friends at the Community Foundation of Newfoundland and Labrador to provide a flow of revenue for The Guy Perry Memorial Scholarship to honour the life of Guy Perry.

Guy Perry was a passionate union activist within the province’s fishing industry, a dedicated sports volunteer in the New-Wes-Valley area and one who inspired many through all his leadership and organizational endeavours. Guy passed away in 2008 after a long battle with cancer.

The Guy Perry Memorial Scholarship Fund has been created in Guy’s name to establish a scholarship(s) that will be granted annually in his memory to a Pearson Academy (New-Wes-Valley) Grade 12 graduating student/graduate who exemplifies and combines perseverance in academic studies, student leadership, community involvement, athletic participation and who will be/is attending a post-secondary institution.
