Donations to the North Shore Volunteer Fire Department Fund support equipment and capacity for firefighting on the North Shore of Conception Bay (from Kingston to Burnt Point). 

 

The 2025 wildfire season made clear what North Shore residents have always known: a well-equipped, well-trained volunteer fire department is essential infrastructure. When the fires came, volunteer firefighters were the first line of defence for homes and communities.

 

Recovery is not just about rebuilding. It’s about preparing for what comes next. As fire seasons grow longer and more intense, every contribution to this fund helps ensure the neighbours who answer the call have the gear, training, and capacity to do the job safely.

 

 

The Community Foundation of Newfoundland and Labrador (CFNL) is a registered charity (BN: 853376531RR0001) that has been inspiring and facilitating community generosity in Newfoundland and Labrador since 2001. We work with the North Shore Volunteer Fire Department, in partnership with the Town of Small Point-Broad Cove-Blackhead-Adam’s Cove, and the other communities from Kingston to Burnt Point, to steward this fund and ensure every donation goes directly toward enhancing volunteer firefighting on the North Shore of Conception Bay. • sending a cheque to CFNL’s Office, or,
• E-transferring your donation to info@cfnl.ca – ensure you include the fund’s name, your name, and your address to receive a tax receipt.
