Nicole Dawe
Nicole is a community builder whose mission in life is to make the world an even kinder and more connected place. She began her career as a music teacher before transitioning to arts administration with Lady Cove Women’s Choir and Shallaway Youth Choir. In 2012, she moved to Calgary to join Vivo for Healthier Generations and was part of the $60 million fundraising campaign that will build a 135,000 square foot expansion and renovation to Vivo’s community and recreation centre (opening in 2023). Nicole’s time in Calgary also included 8-years of volunteering with the Calgary Foundation, including chairing one of its grant committees.
Nicole is grateful to have the opportunity to return home to share her gifts with the Community Foundation of Newfoundland and Labrador. Nicole holds a Master of Business Administration, Bachelor of Music and Bachelor of Music Education from Memorial University. She enjoys spending time with her husband Andrew and daughter Ellyn and her large extended family and curling up with a cup of tea and a good book.
